Qom University is one of Iran’s public universities and is located in a 140-hectare campus in the southwest of Qom city and Al-Ghadir highway after Quds settlement.
Introduction
In 1364, with the approval of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, in addition to the students of the theological fields, the graduates of the secondary courses of the old system were also accepted through the national entrance exam. In continuation of the educational activities in 1367, through a decree, the teacher training center of Qom University started working with the aim of training competent and efficient professors to teach Islamic studies in universities.
On 31/03/1376, with the approval of the Council for the Development of Higher Education, the higher educational and judicial school for students changed its status to “Qom University” and this complex has 6 courses at the undergraduate level, 5 courses at the master’s level and one course at the specialized doctorate level. It continued its activity and the new statute of Qom University was finally approved in the meeting dated 25/10/1378 of the Higher Education Development Council and after that Qom University continued its activities within the framework of the regulations of the Ministry of Science.
Currently, 8000 students and 245 professors are working in this center. Based on the analysis, this center has published 8132 scientific articles in domestic journals and conferences. The conference was organized by Qom University. In addition, 326 internationally valid articles have been extracted from this center. In 1402, Qom University researchers have published most of their articles with the keywords “international law” and “human rights”.

This year, for the first time, Qom University participated in the Times ranking system, which is based in England, and was ranked, which is considered an important achievement in the university’s scientific progress. 2004 has evaluated and ranked higher education centers.
This ranking is based on 13 indicators as described in the following table in the form of five general criteria of education with a weight of 30%, research with a weight of 30%, citations with a weight of 30%, international image with a weight of 7.5% and connection with the industry with a weight of 2. 5% interest. In this regard, Qom University was ranked from 1,200 to 1,500 among the universities and scientific institutions of the world that participated in this ranking system in various evaluation sections.

Qom University Library
The library of Qom University was established in 1359, i.e. one year after the establishment of the university. In the online system of the university library, it is possible for students to briefly read specialized books, articles and authentic domestic and foreign publications. Also, the library has been separated and established into separate sections, such as the library of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies, the library of the Faculty of Law, the special white library for the blind, and the special Kausar library of the Sisters campus.
Qom State University Dormitory
For many non-native students who are admitted to bachelor’s degrees and above, having a well-equipped accommodation and dormitory is one of the important priorities. This university is known as the mother university in Qom province and accordingly, it has allocated well-equipped dormitories for other non-native students who are admitted to this university from distant cities. Male and female students and even married students can view the accommodation costs in the dormitory based on the online system of the university dormitory. Recently, 3 units of campus dormitories have been established, and the accommodation costs of these dormitories, which are determined by the dormitory supervision council, have been listed and published on the Qom University dormitory website.
