Kharazmi University, formerly known as Tarbiat Moalem University, is one of the government universities affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran. It is named after Mohammad bin Musa Kharazmi, an Iranian scientist of the 3rd century Hijri, and is located in Tehran and is located in Karaj. Introduction
This university was established in 1298 AH, its name has been changed several times and a campus has been added to it. Currently, Kharazmi University accepts students in various fields of basic sciences, humanities, education, and engineering at various levels from bachelor’s degrees to doctorates. Kharazmi University is the first higher education institution in Iran, which has been established for more than a century. Also, it was the first university for teacher training in Iran, which of course is no longer the case because currently, teacher training matters have been assigned to Farhangian University.
The name of this university was changed in 1312 AH from Darul-Mulemmin Ali to Daneshsarai and in 1353 to Tarbiat Moalem University. The name change of this university to Kharazmi University was approved by the Higher Education Extension Council of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 2011 and 2012, but due to the lack of approval by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, this name change was not implemented until the end of 2010.
Currently, 14,542 students and 480 professors are working in this center. Based on the analysis, this center has so far published 17,994 scientific articles in domestic journals and conferences. Khorazmi University is the owner and publisher of 22 specialized journals and so far 25 The conference was organized by Kharazmi University. In addition, 6438 internationally valid articles have been extracted from this center. Kharazmi University in the fields of engineering and technology (chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering). It was ranked 801-1000 and ranked 1001+ in the world in the field of basic sciences (physics, chemistry, geology, mathematics and statistics).

Tehran Campus
Located in the center of Tehran, South Shahid Muftah Street (Dolat Gate Station, Line 4 and Taleghani Station, Line 1 of Tehran Metro) with an area of 2 hectares, the building of which (the current Central Library building) was built based on the engineering design of Markov of Russian origin.
Karaj Campus
With an area of 270 hectares in the Hesarak region (the western end of Karaj city), the construction of which started in 1355. This campus has organizational houses for professors and staff, 23 blocks of student dormitories, an indoor swimming pool, a sports complex, a central building, faculty building. The construction of the central library and conference hall of the university was also started on this campus in February 2007. Administrative, educational, and research activities of the university are carried out in both Tehran and Karaj campuses.

University Dormitories
In both branches of this university, separate student dormitories are provided for male and female students. In the Tehran branch, these dormitories are divided into the Lalezar, Sahand, Shamsabad, Baharestan, Motahari, Tawheed and Rudsar, Shahid Hosseini, and Samiya categories. In the Karaj branch, however, the number of student dormitories is more, and 23 separate blocks (300 people in each block and each block with an area of about 4000 square meters) have been established for students.
Library
The libraries of Khwarazmi University are in several forms: Both Tehran and Karaj University complexes have a central library and a document center at the central site so that they can best provide educational pamphlets, articles, specialized theses and textbooks, etc. needed by students.
In addition, in all faculties, there is a specialized library that provides only specialized books and treatises related to that faculty, which has made the search easier for students. Karaj Central Library contains only 210,820 copies of Persian, Latin, and Arabic printed books and 113 manuscripts, which are included in the 6-story building.
