The prohibited courses for foreign nationals are mostly the same for nationals of all countries, and the nationality of foreign nationals does not differ for their selection. Forbidden cities
West Azarbaijan: Afghan nationals are prohibited from choosing majors in provincial universities (except Urmia city) and other foreign nationals in border cities of the province.
East Azarbaijan: It is prohibited to choose the field of Afghan nationals in provincial universities (except Tabriz city).
Isfahan: Afghan nationals are prohibited from choosing courses in the universities of Natanz, Feridun, Feridun Shahr, Semiram, Chadegan, Khansar, Dahaghan, Nain, Golpayegan, Khorubiyabank, Ardestan and Abu Zaid sections of Aran and Bidgol.
Ardabil: It is forbidden for Afghan nationals to choose the field of study in provincial universities (except for Ardabil city) and for Iraqi nationals to stay in the cities of Parsabad, Beile Sawar, Garmi, Meshkin Shahr and Namin.
Ilam: It is prohibited for Afghan nationals to choose majors in universities of the province (except for Ilam city) and the residence of other foreign nationals in the cities of Mehran, Dehlran and the border cities of the province.
Alborz: Selection of foreign nationals in the universities of the whole province is unimpeded.
Tehran: The choice of foreign nationals in the universities of the whole province (with the exception of Khajir region in the 13th region of Tehran municipality for Afghan nationals) is unimpeded.
Bushehr: Afghan nationals are prohibited from choosing courses in the universities of Dilam and Ganaveh cities.
South Khorasan: All foreign nationals are prohibited from choosing majors in the universities of the border cities of Nehbandan, Sarbisheh, Madhim, Qain, Zirkouh, Ferdous, Sarayan and Tabas. Afghan nationals are allowed to stay in Khosuf and Birjand cities. The residence of Iraqi nationals in the province (except Birjand) is prohibited.
Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari: It is forbidden to choose the field of Afghan nationals in provincial universities (except Shahrekord).
North Khorasan: Afghan and Iraqi nationals are not allowed to choose majors in provincial universities (except Bojnoord).
Razavi Khorasan: It is prohibited for Afghan nationals to choose courses in the border towns of Torbat Jam, Quchan, Taibad, Khaf, Sarkhs, Kalat Naderi and Darghz.
Zanjan: It is forbidden for Afghan nationals to choose majors in provincial universities (except for Zanjan city), and only Zanjan and Khodabandeh cities are allowed for Iraqi nationals to stay.
Khuzestan: It is prohibited for Afghan nationals to choose majors in provincial universities (except Ahvaz and Gatund cities) and the residence and movement of other foreign nationals in Abadan, Khorramshahr and Dasht Azadegan cities. Note: The residence of foreign nationals with a valid passport and residence in the cities of Abadan and Khorramshahr is allowed.
Sistan and Baluchestan: اIt is prohibited for Afghan and Iraqi nationals to choose majors in the universities of the whole province (except Zahedan city) and the residence and movement of foreign nationals in the cities of Zabul, Hirmand, Zahk, as well as the border parts of the cities of Khash, Iranshahr, Saravan and Chabahar.
Semnan: The movement and residence of foreign nationals in the universities of Garmsar region and the entrance of Qasr Bahram, Meraj 1 test center and Damghan region from the Jandaq road to the Siraj test center and the residence of Afghan nationals in Shahrood and Damghan cities are prohibited.
Qazvin: It is forbidden to choose Afghan nationals in the universities of the whole province (except Qazvin city).
Fars: Afghan nationals are prohibited from choosing courses in the universities of Firozabad, Farashband, Darab, Arsanjan, Fasa, Mohr, Rostam, Khanj and Niriz.
Kurdistan: It is prohibited for Afghan nationals to choose majors in provincial universities (except for Sanandaj city) and for all non-Iranian nationals to stay in the central part of Saqqez city, Baneh and Marivan cities, and the border cities of the province (except guest cities).
Qom: Selection of foreign nationals in the universities of the whole province is unimpeded.
Kermanshah: Selection of courses for Afghan nationals in provincial universities (except for Kermanshah city) and all non-Iranian nationals in border cities of the province has been banned.
Kerman: Selection of courses for Afghan nationals in the universities of Anbarabad, Baft, Manojan, Qalaganj, Bam, Fahraj, Rudbar, Faryab, Narmashir, Kohnouj, Jiroft, Anar and Regan cities, as well as the residence of Iraqi nationals at the provincial level (except for the city Kerman) has been declared prohibited.
Golestan: The selection of Afghan nationals in the universities of the whole province (except Gorgan and Gonbad cities) has been banned.
Kohgiluyeh and Boyar Ahmad: It has been announced that it is forbidden to select Afghan nationals in universities of the province level (except for Yasuj city).
Gilan: It has been announced that the selection of Afghan nationals in provincial universities (except Rasht city) is prohibited.
Lorestan: Selection of Afghan nationals in provincial universities (except Khorramabad city) has been banned.
Mazandaran: Afghan nationals are prohibited from choosing majors in provincial universities (except Sari).
Central: The selection of Afghan nationals in the universities of Ashtian, Tafarsh, Farahan, Farmahin, Khomin, Shazand, Mahalat, Zarandiyeh, Kamijan and Khandab cities has been banned.
Hamadan: It is forbidden to choose the field of Afghan nationals in provincial universities (except for Hamedan city).
Hormozgan: foreign nationals are prohibited from choosing the field only in the universities of Abu Musi and Jask cities.
