Introduction
The first higher education center in Gilan started working in 1344 with the opening of the Higher School of Nursing. The Higher School of Nursing was established in 1355. Gilan University of Medical Sciences also started working in 1362 as a medical school under the cover of Gilan University and in 1365 with the establishment of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, it separated from Gilan University and continued its activities as a university independently. .
