Chabahar International University
Chabahar International University is a non-profit and non-governmental university that began operating in 2002 with the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. Studying at the International University of Chabahar marks the beginning of a significant advancement for students at the highest academic levels. In fulfilling its mission to prepare and train responsible, creative, specialized, and productive students aligned with Islamic values and human ideals, this university has designed educational activities according to today’s real-world conditions, while applying the highest academic standards.
Introduction
The International University of Chabahar is a public university in Chabahar city, Sistan-Baluchestan province. It was established in 2002. Presently, there are 769 students and 52 faculty members in action at this institution. Based on research, the university has so far published 322 scientific articles in domestic journals and conferences. The International University of Chabahar is the owner and publisher of one specialized journal and has held 5 conferences to date. In addition, 4 credible international articles have also been produced from this institution.
The university currently offers 22 academic fields, including two associate bachelor’s programs, 11 bachelor’s programs, and nine master’s programs. Successful completion of any of these programs results in a degree approved by the Ministry of Science.
International University of Chabahar began its first educational program at the bachelor’s level in collaboration with the University of London through its External Programs, previously guided by three colleges: London School of Economics and Political Science, Goldsmiths, and Royal Holloway. Eight programs are offered in cooperation with the University of London, with exams conducted and evaluated by the University of London at the end of the academic year. The University of London awards the bachelor’s degree, and additionally, after equivalency, a bachelor’s degree is also granted by Chabahar University to graduates.
The International University of Chabahar strives to expand its international educational connections by enhancing educational ties with other reputable foreign and domestic universities, in line with its resources and plans. Due to some international issues, as of now, all courses at the International University of Chabahar are taught in Persian. In the field of teaching and higher education, the university seeks to provide high-quality education for students to elevate their academic level professionally, intellectually, and socially.
Ranking of International University of Chabahar
In August 2020, the university was announced as 3rd among non-governmental universities and 35th among all universities in the country, according to the Iranian Universities Reference Database.

International University of Chabahar Scholarship
This university offers the Makran Coast International Scholarship for bachelor’s and master’s degrees to individuals from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Oman, and China. The scholarship has three types: full scholarship (covering tuition, accommodation, and free health insurance), educational scholarship (covering only tuition), and 50% scholarship (50% tuition discount). The requirement for receiving any of these scholarships is full proficiency in the Persian language.
