Mazandaran Public University is one of the most prestigious universities in the fields of basic sciences, engineering sciences, and economics in Iran, and it is also the largest higher education center in Mazandaran province, which started its official activity in 1980. Introduction
With more than 47 years of experience, Mazandaran University has been able to improve its scientific status by increasing the quantity and quality of its education and admits a large number of students every year. It has also been recruiting international students since 2000. The total area of the land is 4000 hectares, the total area of the buildings is 150 thousand square meters, the total area of the educational building is 58 thousand square meters, and the educational space per capita is 12 square meters.
13,580 students, 783 international students, 350 faculty members (37 professors, 88 associate professors, 200 assistant professors, and 24 instructors), and several licensed teachers are working in this center. Based on the research done, Mazandaran University has published 11563 scientific articles in domestic publications and congress (3714 journal articles and 7849 conference articles), and 6078 internationally valid articles. Also, 19 congresses have been organized by the University of Mazandaran. This center is also the owner and publisher of 13 specialized magazines.

Honor
With the passage of four decades since the establishment of Mazandaran University, one of the honors of this center is the internationalization of two faculty members, Professor Jahanbakhsh Rauf and Professor Reza Orjani, who were included in the list of international scientists. It also won the title of the sixth-best city university in 2012.
