Introduction

Iran University of Science and Technology was established in 1930 as a higher institution during the Qajar era in Tehran, and this university can be considered as the second best university in Iran. The main campus of this university is in Tehran and other branches are located in Bushehr, Damavand and Noor.

Arak Unit: Currently, this unit has been upgraded and became independent.

Damavand unit: It was launched in 2006, the bachelor’s degree in mechanics is offered in this unit, and the development plan and discussion of the Damavand unit’s infrastructure are still ongoing.

Noor Unit: It was established in 2005 and 200 students are active in this university. 13 majors are offered in this master’s degree.

Behshahr Unit : This branch was established in 1985 in Behshahr city. At the time of its establishment, three majors were accepted in this unit which are computer engineering, industrial engineering and applied mathematics . In 2010, the electrical engineering field was added to the list of majors of this unit. It should be noted that until September 2010, this unit only accepted students at night, and after this date, it also accepted students in the two majors of electrical engineering and applied mathematics on a daily basis. Finally, in 2013, Behshahr unit was changed to Mazandaran University of Science and Technology.

1957 : (Change of name ) Tehran Institute of Technology

1963: (change of name and location) Honar Sari Alie located in Muttaqeh Narmak (current location)

1972: ( Change of name) Faculty of Science and Technology of Iran

1978: Upgrading the faculty to Iran University of Science and Technology

Currently, 10,837 students and 608 professors work in this complex. It has published 23,244 scientific articles in domestic journals and congress and is also the publisher of 13 specialized magazines and 78 congress have been organized by this university. 32,000 bachalor and master students have graduated from this university
