Intruduction

Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Health Care Services  is one of Iran’s public universities under the Ministry of Health and  Medical Education  in  Tehran province, and this university  has been accepting students from the beginning. Currently, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences accepts students in associate, bachelor, master, PhD, professional doctorate, specialty, and subspecialty in daily courses and self-governing campus. This university started its activity as the first private medical school in 1959 by accepting students [Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences was named National University of Iran in the past, which was founded by Dr. Ali Sheikh Al-Islam]. In 1974, when the government paid tuition fees and made them free with the support of oil revenues, this opportunity arose for all different classes of society to enter this university through the national entrance exam, and this university became a public university like other universities.
This university has 12600 students and 1414 professors with 130 faculty members. Based on the research conducted, 5553 scientific articles have been published in domestic publications and conferences, the publisher of 24 specialized journals.  49 conferences have been held by Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.  In addition, so far 691 international articles have been extracted from this center.
This university has laboratories that can be mentioned as pathology, anatomy, immunology, parasitology , medical physics, biochemistry, microbiology and skill labs in the medical school. and applied tests, immunology in the faculty of nursing and midwifery and organic chemistry and analysis laboratories, instrumental analysis methods with physical and chemical control and toxicology and pharmacology in the faculty of pharmacy and anatomy laboratories, restorative phantom, children’s dental laboratory, prosthetics laboratory fixed dental and removable dental prostheses laboratory in the school of dentistry.
