Art University of Isfahan is one of the national (public) universities of Iran, located in Isfahan Province. Introduction

The Art University of Isfahan, as the hub of higher education in artistic fields in the artistically rich region of Isfahan, was initially founded under the name “Isfahan Campus College” in 1976. Its main objective was to train specialized professionals in the preservation and restoration of historical monuments and artifacts. As the first higher education institution in Iran focusing on restoration, it accepted bachelor’s degree graduates in fields like archaeology, painting, interior architecture, construction, chemistry, and textile for master’s degrees in the restoration of buildings and historical artifacts.

In its early years, this college was affiliated with Farabi University. However, after admitting students for the second time, it was closed during the Islamic Revolution. The college reopened in 1983 following the Cultural Revolution.

The Art University of Isfahan is a public university in the city of Isfahan, Isfahan Province. It was founded in 1976. Presently, it has around 3,000 students and 290 faculty members. According to research, the university has published 3,742 scientific articles in domestic journals and conferences. The Art University of Isfahan has published three specialized journals and has organized five conferences to date.

Since 1976, it has been training specialized human resources at the undergraduate and non-continuous master’s levels (with two majors) as the first educational group of this university. The Faculty of Advanced Art Studies and Entrepreneurship is one of the five faculties at the Art University of Isfahan. The Initial planning to create a faculty that could connect art and entrepreneurship dates back to 2010. After obtaining permission from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, this faculty started operating in October 2012 with seven programs (undergraduate in Museum Studies, undergraduate in Tourism, and master’s in Cultural Entrepreneurship, Tourism Management, Art Economics, Urban Economics, and Museum Management).

Faculty of Architecture, Industrial Design, and Urban Planning

The Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning is located in the Towhidkhaneh building. The Towhidkhaneh was once a Sufi monastery and a place for dervishes, but during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi, it was left abandoned and is said to have been turned into a stable for livestock. Initially, this faculty focused on two fields: Painting and Handicrafts, and later added Carpet Weaving in 1997 and Graphic Design and Photography in 2006. As you know, an art university should have special facilities, as art programs are different from other fields. Dormitory of Isfahan University of Art

Students should know that the dormitory is not a free environment, and not everyone can do as they please. However, those who have stayed in the dormitory certainly understand that social interactions among individuals increase significantly. Each dormitory has its own specific rules; one of the rules relates to movement, with designated hours for students. In male dormitories, movement is typically allowed from 6 AM to 11 PM, while in female dormitories, it is generally set from 6 AM to 9 PM. In female dormitories, nightly attendance is taken for students.

In the dormitory of Art University of Isfahan, a senior resident is assigned to each dormitory, and you should not forget about this senior resident. The senior resident is an experienced individual who is fully aware of the dormitory rules and can be a good guide for students who have just joined the community.
