The science and industry can be concentrated in the textile factories of this country in Isfahan and along the shores of the Caspian Sea. Iran is also known worldwide for its handmade carpets. The traditional handicraft of making these carpets significantly contributes to the rural income of the country and has always been one of Iran’s most important export industries. Additionally, the Isfahan factories (Isfahan Steel and Mobarakeh Steel) are two of Iran’s largest steel production facilities. Furthermore, Iran’s handicrafts have been localized in various regions across the country, with each city creating a market for its handicrafts in the capital and other major cities.
Science and technology in Iran have historically manifested themselves. Throughout history, Iran has nurtured renowned scientists, some of whom have joined the ranks of those whose discoveries transformed the world. The position of Tehran University in the subject ranking of QS 2021/ ranking 26 in the field of petroleum engineering

Obtaining the first national rank and improving the international position of the University of Tehran in the 2021 Webometrics ranking
